| If you?re like the rest of us who fight the urge to ?label? others, this prayer?s for you: ?Father remind me that the dinner-lady who snapped at me this lunchtime is a single mum in the middle of a long shift before she goes home to cook dinner, help with homework, do laundry, and spend a few precious hours with her kids?That the pierced, tattooed, space cadet who couldn?t get my change right at the newsagent is a student worried about his exams and having to pay extra fees next year?That the scruffy homeless guy who begs next to the cash point every night is a slave to addictions I can?t imagine in my worst nightmares?Help me to remember that the old couple going annoyingly slow down the escalator holding everybody back are savouring this moment because it may be their last trip to the shops together. ?Your word says, ?Everyone who loves is born of God?because God is love.? Remind me that the greatest gift is still love, and that it?s not enough just to share it with those I have decided deserve it. Open my heart to all your family. Make me slow to judge and quick to forgive; let me see people through your eyes Lord, help me not to label and judge others based only on their appearance. In Jesus? name ? Amen.?
