Gay “Marriage” – What do you think?

I chose the middle/second option although I thought the way it was worded left something to be desired. Any union outside of a church is a civil union, even if it’s for straight people. If no priest/rabbi/minister/shaman/etc. is presiding, then it’s a civil union. My understanding is that most straight couples (at least in the U.S. and Canada) have civil unions. I believe that governments should make civil unions available to any two consenting adults. I don’t believe any government can force a church to make available marriage to anyone, gay/straight/purple/dwarf/etc.
