So far, all your armour has been defensive. Now you must put on the one piece, which is offensive. But to use it, you must first know it! It must become your automatic response to every challenge. If a situation calls for thanksgiving, then a word of praise should come alive in your mind and flow from your lips. If a situation demands confrontation, a word of rebuke, deliverance and counsel should come alive in your mind and flow from your lips. If a situation is rooted in lies, a word of truth should come alive in your mind and flow from your lips.
If you really want to hurt the enemy where it counts, start declaring The Word of Godto him, and he’ll flee. He has to! He can’t handle being repeatedly stabbed and slashed by the sword of God’s Word, which is the very life of God.
