The Lord confides in those who fear Him.Psalm 25:14 NIV
You ask, “Would God reveal things to someone like me?” Listen: (a) “He reveals deep and hidden things” (Daniel 2:22 NIV). (b) “The Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants” (Amos 3:7 NIV). (c) “Everything that I learned of My Father I have made known to you” (John 15:15 NIV). You ask, “What kind of things will the Lord reveal to me?”
(1) Changes in your future. Listen, “While they were worshipping… the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them’” (Acts 13:2 NIV).
(2) The weakness in your enemy’s strategy. Twice the King of Syria set a trap for Israel, and twice his plan failed. Finally, one of his servants explained to him that God was telling the King of Israel, “the words that thou speakest in thy bed-chamber” (2 Kings 6:12). Wow! David said, “Your commands make me wiser than my enemies” (Psalm 119:98 NIV).
(3) Where your gifts are needed most. Listen, “An angel of the Lord said to Philip, ‘Go south… and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official’ (Acts 8:26-27 NIV)”. Can you imagine leaving the city that put your ministry on the map, to go to the desert and witness to one man? Philip did, and Christ was introduced to an entire continent!
The Lord confides in those who’ll trust and obey Him. He’ll reveal His will to you in the situation you face today – if only you’ll consult Him.
